Life in bloom

 Morning blogland,

Time for a new challenge over at Passion for Markers with this week sponsored by Clearly Besotted Stamps and a theme set by Marie.

The theme is 'Make it bloom' so anything floral - along with using your markers! The prize for one lucky winner is a £15.00 voucher to spend over at our sponsors web-site.

Without any further ado, here's my floral offering:

Supplies used:

Digital Stamp:
DreamFlare Studios - there isn't a name for this it's a selection of 30 'line-art' wildflower files
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
Taylored Expressions - Simply Strips: Background

Dies:
Taylored Expressions - Simply Strips: well-rounded
un-branded stitched rectangle die

Anything else:
white paint
paintbrush (for the splatters)

I have to say I don't colour flowers very often but I'm not too unhappy with how this one turned out.  I didn't let the splatters dry before I started mounting the panel, so they are a little more squashed than splattered - but not too noticeable, I hope anyways!

And that's about it folks - please pop on by the challenge blog, there are some fabulous floral cards on show.

See you soon,
Sarah

Blooming lovely

 Good morning blogland,

And isn't it just - blooming lovely that is, in more ways than one! I love this warmer weather we are having, it's so much more me and really cheers me up from the Winter doldrums.

The other way it's blooming lovely is that's the theme for this week's Passion for Markers - actually to get it technically right it's 'Let it bloom' but basically we're looking for flowers on your projects this week and, always, please use your markers! :-)

We're sponsored by the lovely HettyClare with a prize of two digi stamps on offer.  The DT were given a couple of images to create with and this is my card with the image I got to use:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
Hetty Clare - Cat Flowerpot
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
taylored expressions - 'Big Thanks'

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangles
Poppy - Thanks outline

I like the overall card, but my goodness what did I do to that cat!  I gave it a nearly human looking nose and face, not good, not good at all! Hey ho, we live and learn, eh and live to fight (or colour!) another day.

Hope no-one is melting - like the hubby and TTT - in this heat and see you all soon.

What's your animal?

Hello blogland,

Looks like I'm having a better run of luck with scheduled posts at the minute - so let's hope this keeps that run of luck!

It's Saturday, and time for another challenge over at Sweet Stampin' and this fortnight the challenge theme is 'Animals' - so something stamped and animals in your project somewhere.

This is my card:

Supplies Used:

Stamps:
Time for Tea - Sundae Sweeties
coloured with my Copics

taylored expressions - simple strips: Background

Dies:
taylored expressions - simple strips: well rounded

Stencil:
Honey Doo Craft

Anything else:
Distress Ink
flat backed gems

Not the best picture ever - I really struggled to get the stencilled background to show in the photo.  The stencilling is quite soft and it did not want to show up in the pictures!

Anyways pop over to the challenge, my Teamies have made some wonderful cards!

Am off for a bit of retail therapy this weekend - it's a Craftarama at Lincoln Showground, so guess where I'll be on Sunday!

See you soon,
Sarah

It's all gone a little flowery!

Hello blogland

So here we are again for another Saturday, I'm finding it hard to believe how quickly this year is passing.  Though to be fair it's been a fairly busy year for us, so maybe it's not so surprising life is spinning by!

Reason for this post is it's time for a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge with the challenge this fortnight being 'Flowers / Blooming Beautiful' - so anything that includes flowers, whether that is a single bloom or a whole garden of the things! As always we are a 'for fun' challenge so no prizes, other than the kudos of being a Top Three, and no restrictions on what you can enter - other then there has to be stamping somewhere on your project.

Now, I'm not that big on flowers - can admire them on other peoples cards - but they're not really me. Notwithstanding that - here's my attempts, yes there are two! One is a card I made quite awhile ago (I used it as I thought I was going to run out of time to make a card) and the other I made late at night in a bit of a panic.

Card one:

alternate view:

Supplies used:

Rubber stamps:
Altenew - Inked Lotus
taylored expressions - Big Thanks

Anything else:
Cosmic Shimmer
indentez embossing folder
embossing powder

Card Two:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
 Alex Syberia - Summer Bouquet
coloured with Distress Ink and Copics

Rubber stamp:
taylored expressions - Simple Strips: Background

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangle
taylored expressions - Simple Strips: Well Rounded

Anything else:
Distress Inks
Liquid Pearls

And that's me being all flowery, folks!
I'll be back again soon - the Year 11 Prom happened so I have pictures to share of TTT, but until then Cheerio!

Sarah

Challenge/s:

For Card one:
Allsorts Challenge: Week 736 - Enbossing Folders
Simply Clean & Simple: Clean & Simple (first challenge) optional theme.  I hope the card fits the challenge interpretation of CaS - I thought my Card 2 might be too busy?
The Flower Challenge: #82 CAS - Again I thought Card 2 too busy for the challenge.

For Card two:
Beautiful Blossoms Challenge: Anything Goes with Flowers (optional mood board) #6
Let's Craft and Create: Challenge #197 - Anything Goes + Flowers
Tic Tac Toe Challenge: TTTC216 - Middle Row (Layers / CAS / Stamping)

Music to dance to

Hello blogland,

I've made another card and for no reason! No DT, no particular birthday / occasion / person. Just made to have fun colouring in the image and putting a card together.

And here it is:

Supplies used:

Digital Stamps:
Lili of the Valley - Funky Flares
coloured with my Copics

Sentiment also Lili of the Valley - Everything's Better

Rubber stamp:
Autumn Leaves - swirls v.2 by Rhonna Farrer

Dies:
unbranded DL (slimline) stitched rectangle

I Googled 1970's fashion to get an idea of what colour to do the trousers - I didn't fancy colouring another pair of jeans - and my goodness it was a colourful decade, wasn't it! No wonder it's called the decade that fashion forgot. Though I have to say the fashion of my decade - the 80's - could be just as bad!

I can also report that TTT did her last GCSEs today - Physics and Geography - that's it all done! Now we have to wait until the 24th August for results, then we see if she got good enough results to get into Sixth Form. Hopefully it'll be a 'shoo-in' - the lowest grade she's predicted is a 7 and the highest a 9. Fingers crossed, eh!

I took a picture or two of her on her last day - I may share later, but I'd have to ask her first if it's OK.

Other than that - whose still enjoying the good weather? I am!

Aaaand that's about it for now,
I'll pop off now and be back later,
Sarah

Challenge/s:

Passion for Markers: Week 694 - Clean and Simple

Krafty Chicks Challenge: #668 - Clean and Simple

Crafty Catz: #642 - Anything Goes (optional twist - fun)

As You Like It Challenge: Favourite Non-Birthday Occasion (and why). I like to make cards with 'Open' sentiments if they aren't for a Birthday. So I suppose, 'Just because I was thinking of you' cards? Don't know how else to describe them!

Pinkly pretty

Afternoon blogland,

Another missed post from me that should have gone up this morning! However, I was busy going from my weights / gym session, to getting ready to taking TTT for her hair appt, to actually going to this hair appt that I didn't get a chance to do the post.

Still better late than never, eh, and I'm here now.

To get on - this post is to let you all know there's a new challenge started today over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge. As always this is a 'just for fun' challenge, lasts for a fortnight and is all about the stamping - be it digital or old fashioned rubber stamp. The challenge theme this time is 'Pretty in Pink'. So anything with pink in it, on it or covered in it!! :-)

Now pink is not my favourite colour (give me blues / purples / greens any day) but I had thought it would be a good opportunity to get one of my 'girlie' stamps out. Well, it ended up not.  This is the card I made:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
Alex Syberia - Full Bloom
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
taylored expressions - Simple Strips: Background

Dies:
taylored expressions - Simple Strips: Well Rounded
Creative Expressions - Noble Collection: double stitched squares

Aaaand that's it folks, I'm off again!
See you soon,
Sarah

Challenge/s:

Crafty Catz: #641 Anything Goes (optional use pink and purple). I got half the optional theme - there's pink in there!

Gem of a Craft Challenge: Wk 12 - Anything Goes

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge: Anything Flowers Goes (optional mood board #5)

Creations in Pink: Challenge #58 - Anything Goes - as long as it's pink

Variations on a theme

 Good morning blogland,

It's Saturday and Team Wends' turn for the new challenge at Sweet Stampin' - this fortnight the theme is Clean and Simple (CaS). As always this is a stamping challenge - so there has to some stamping (digital or rubber) on your project somewhere. Doesn't have to be a card and doesn't have to have colouring, just stamping.

So, as I'm sure you long time bloggy friends (if I have any left after my lacklustre performance so far this year!) will know I'm rather enamoured of the CaS style.  I like it almost as much as I love colouring, so I've popped up two cards for this challenge. One I would consider my 'pared back style' and one more classic CaS.

Cards:

Paired back style:

Supplies Used:

Digital stamp:
Saturated Canary - '60/'70 Decades fashion (there are two images and I used one)
unfortunately Krista closed her etsy shop closed so I don't know where you'd get this image anymore.
Coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
taylored expressions - Simple Strips: Birthday

Dies:
taylored expressions - Simple Strips: Well rounded
un-branded stitched rectangle

Anything else:
scraps of patterned paper

More traditional Clean and Simple:

Supplies used:

Rubber stamp:
Catherine Pooler - All Around Wishes

Dies:
Whimsy Stamps - 'Birthday' word and shadow die

Anything else:
My Favorite Thing Stencil - Wonky Dots
Cosmic Shimmer - Victorian Gold

I like both the CaS styles and probably my favourite is with colouring (as I love to colour, I might have mentioned that) but the 'proper' CaS really does get my brain thinking and I enjoy that as well.

Why not pop over to the challenge and see what fabulous cards my Teamies have made as well - and they are fabulous!

Right well I'm off now to do some stretching as, not only did I get Covid recently (from which I've totally recovered thankfully), I've also now done something to my back from lugging wood effect tiles around!  We are having our dining / sitting room re-skimmed and painted with a new tile floor being laid next month.  The new tiles we ordered were delivered to the drive but not brought in - so me and hubby have lugged 100mm thick 1200x800mm long/wide ceramic tiles from drive to conservatory and my back went pop.  Oh what a fun Easter holiday it's been!

See you soon,
Sarah

Challenge/s:

Crafty Catz : Challenge 633 - Anything Goes (option for a child). Entering first card - it was made for a teenager!

Gem of a Challenge: Wk 8 - Anything Goes. Entering first card.

Fab 'n' Funky Challenges: Challenge #570 - Use die cuts. Entering second card.

Less is More: Challenge #481 - Anything Goes.  Entering second card (I'm guessing the first one would be too busy for the rules).

Clean and Simple

 Good morning blogland,

This is a very quick whistle by to share my All Dressed Up Facebook challenge inspiration card.

The end of the month seems to have crept up on me in a big way and I've been nowhere near the blog, other than to post my DT cards, for probably getting on for a month.

One my resolutions for New Year, along with getting back into my gym routine, is to allocate more time keeping the blog going. For now though, this is what it's getting!

So the theme on the Facebook group for December is  'Clean and Simple'. Now that is a challenge I can get behind and this is my creation:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
All Dressed Up - Abi Ballerina
coloured with my Copics

Rubber sentiment stamp:
Whimsy Stamps - Simple Sentiment Strips

Dies:
Pretty Pink Posh - Scallop Borders 2
un-branded stitched rectangle die set

Anything else:
Cuttlebug embossing folder - Daisy Pattern

Strange, isn't it, how so many things go into making a 'Clean and Simple' card!

I'm not sure I'll be back before Christmas, if I'm not I'll wish you all a very Merry Christmas now, but I will definitely be back before the New Year.

See you soon,
Sarah

New digi time!

 Good morning blogland,

I'm here today (a little late, as always) with my card for the new releases over at All Dressed Up.  Wendy has, as always, outdone herself with the cuteness and there are some fabulous new images in this release. The lucky beggar that I am got to play with Winter Pups and this is my creation.

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
All Dressed Up - Winter Pups
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
Wild Rose Studio for the 'from our house to yours'

Dies:
Creative Expressions - Stylish Script: Winter Wishes
un-branded stitched rectangles

Anything Else:
Lawn Fawn - Stencil: brick
very old patterned card

As always there is a wealth of inspiration from my All Dressed up Teamies in the Facebook Group or over on the blog, hope you can find your way there!

On a personal note I appreciate I'm being the worse blogger in the world at the moment - not replying to any comments or doing any commenting myself (other than DT). I offer up my sincere apologies and can only say life is hectic and I do, truly, hope to be back to normal as soon as possible.

Cheers,
Sarah

Sweetie Christmas

Good morning blogland,

This is the first of two posts from me today.

As it's a Saturday it's time for a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge - this time, as we are coming up on Christmas, we are having a month-long challenge. You probably won't be surprised to learn the theme is Anything Christmas, any type of craft is welcome but please remember there has to be some stamping (digital or rubber) on it somewhere.

This is my card:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
Pollycraft - Happy Mail (no link as Pollycraft no longer exists)
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
Altenew - Festive Sillouettes

Dies:
un-branded DL stitched dies set

Anything else:
Creative Expressions - Clouds stencil
Distress Inks
blending brush
red card

I'll be back myself (today, inf fact!) before the end of the Year but that's it from The Sweeties this year. I hope you all have a non-stressful run up to the Christmas season and as a pleasant a Christmas (if you celebrate) as is possible.  See you in 2023!

Sarah

Not a Reindeer!

 Good morning blogland,

Running slightly late here, as TTT is not feeling well and I've been doing the whole yes/no school thing - which has ended with a 'no' and mucked up my morning. She's back in bed and asleep now so I can get on, but with less 'waffle' than normal.

And, getting on is telling you it's time for a new challenge over at Colour Crazy Challenge.  This week's wonderful sponsor is HettyClare.  The DT were very kindly given digis to pick from, this is my make with the super cute Pony Xmas Hat.

My line of thinking went a bit like this - could someone be trying to dress the pony like Rudolph the Reindeer, and would that annoy a cute, but possibly grumpy, pony? Hmmmm, maybe! Let's go with that, it could be funny!

Card that arrived from that idea:

Supplies used:
Digital Stamp:
HettyClare - Pony Xmas Hat
coloured with my Copics

Sentiment I created in Publisher

Dies:
un-branded stitched DL set

Anything else:
Picket Fence Studios stencil - Artic Winter
Distress Ink
stencil brush
bit of twine
red card

So, I do hope all you colourists out there get a chance to pop over and join in with the Challenge, there are some fab inspiration cards from my Teamies and a great prize on offer.

See you soon,
Sarah

OK, so another one of those cards

Good evening blogland

I'm nipping in here before the end of the month to share my All Dressed Up FaceBook group challenge inspiration card.

This month the theme is 'Seasons Greetings', so it's time to dig out the Seasonal images and do Christmas far too early in the year! Still it's not too bad this time, even though I'm not keen on the whole season, I quite like this card. I like the image and my colour scheme - going monochrome is one of my favourite ways to colour.

There's a load of fabulous inspiration from the other Facebook Teamies, if you Facebook why not head over and pop in an entry.  You've still got a week to go till the end of the month and the challenge closes.

And here's the card:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
coloured with my Copics

Dies used:
Un-branded stitched rectangle dies

Anything else:
Bakers Twine
star embellishment

Hope everyone is doing well - we've just got back from TTT's schools' 6th Form Open Evening. Can't believe she's doing GCSE's next year and thinking about A Levels already!  Still no idea what she wants to do for a career though. I'm not surprised - who really knows what they want to do for their life at 15 years of age!

It's getting a bit late so I'm heading off now, got dishes to do and a bed calling!

A 'whale' of a time

 Good morning blogland

It's new challenge time over at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge, as always there are a fabulous selection of inspiration cards on show from my Teamies and a lovely prize from one of our fabulous sponsors.

This week we are sponsored by Patties Creations, who have very kindly given the Design Team some digi stamps to create with. This is the card I made with my pick of those images - the cute Wilma Whale digital stamp.

I thought the image would work well for a classic Clean and Simple card - so that's the route I took. The image (and a sentiment I created in Publisher) was printed onto Copic friendly lightweight card and then coloured in with my Copics. I then masked off a block around the image and inked with Distress Inks. I added embossing with both an embossing folder and an old-fashioned bone folder (on the image panel itself) for final touches, again the embossing is not showing very well in the picture - but I assure you it is there.

I think, with the decreasing light levels I will need to re-adjust my light box as I'm finding I'm having to play about too much editing the picture and some details are being lost.  Oh the joys of Autumn, eh!

Here is my card:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
Patties Creations - Wilma Whale
coloured with my Copics

Anything else?
un-branded stitched rectangle dies
A4 embossing folder (un-named)
Distress Inks
Publisher (for the sentiment)
self-adhesive rhinestones

And that's it folks! I do hope you find time to join us over at the challenge - if you do please remember we are a colouring challenge, so as long as you've hand coloured something, anything goes!

Bye for now and see you soon,
Sarah

Wait, it's September?

 Good morning blogworld,

Already?

So Summer is almost over, August has flown by, and now we are at the start of September which means new challenge time at Crafty Calendar Challenge.  This month the theme is 'Anything Goes' and the sponsor the ever wonderful SheepSki Designs - with a great prize for the lucky winner!

As always SheepSki very generously offered the DT their pick of images to use in our inspiration cards, but I'm a bit of a fan (and have won digi stamps before) so I have a little range of my favourite images from them.  I used one of those favourite stamps in my card - said card below:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
SheepSki Designs - Serenity (Please note the image does not include the butterfly tattoo - I added that)
coloured with my promarkers

Rubber stamps:
Butterflies - the small one on her neck and the large one under the sentiment. I can't tell you where they are from, they don't have their packaging anymore!

Anything else:
A very old rub-on sticker for the flourish
self-adhesive rhinestones
Un-branded stitched rectangular dies
Sentiment created in Publisher

I do hope you get some time to pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at my Teamies lovely creations, maybe even pop in an entry while you are there? There's a great prize on offer!

While I'm here, I wanted to say thanks for bearing with me during the Summer break - normal service will be resumed in the next week or so.

See you soon,
Sarah

Challenge/s:

Krafty Chicks Challenge: #627 - Week 1 - Stamp Act

As You Like It: Favourite Card base shape, and why!  It always used to be a 6"x6" square card base for me - until I started crafting again after my break.  I then discovered 5"x7" top fold cards and they just seem, for some reason, to suit my designs - I still go back to square occasionally, but I find myself going for the 5x7 much more.

Cardz 4 Galz: #180 - 3 of anything - there are three rhinestones in the corner of my card.

Bet you thought I'd forgotten you!

Hello blogworld,

Nope, I haven't forgotten you! Just as predicted not much time for crafting or blogging or Instagram-ing either come to that! I've got an unexpected quiet moment before the rest of the little family starts moving for the day and I thought I'd pop on, re-assure you all that I've not fallen off the face of the Earth, and share a card.

This one was made for the current Facebook All Dressed Up group monthly challenge - 'Make it Square'. So a creation with any squares anywhere - square card, squares on the paper, square dies - I think you get the picture! If you do Facebook, and like ADU stamps, I would really encourage you to come along and pop in an entry, it's a lovely supportive group and you will be made very welcome. This challenge finishes at the end of August, but there is one every month for you to enter.

Supplies Used:
Digital Stamp:
All Dressed Up - Daydreaming
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
Rare Earth - Inspirational

Dies:
Creative Expressions - Double Stitched Squares
(also used a die as a template for the Fineline drawn square)

Anything else:
Self-adhesive rhinestones for the dots in the 'i's

Annnnd, that's it really, folks! Rest assured I'm still here and still getting on with the Summer school holidays.  As much as I like having TTT home, I'm also looking forward to September when routine is restored!

I'll be back when I can,

Sarah

White rabbit alike!

Good morning blogland,

I'ma flying through here - I ran out of time to schedule this post yesterday as TTT has a couple of friends here for a sleepover, went out for the day yesterday (Friday) and stayed up into the early hours to watch a meteorite storm, and in that rush I completely forgot to do my Sweet Stampin' post. So now I'm imitating the White Rabbit and shouting, 'I'm late, I'm late'.  Also one of the girls is getting picked up anytime now and then us and the other friend are off out to a performance of the Community Orchestra they play in. So a busy day again.

Right deep breath and post -

It's Saturday, again!, so it's time for a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' and the theme this fortnight is 'Firsts'.  Please remember that we are a stamping challenge, your entry doesn't need to be a card - or even have colouring on it - but you do need to have either used a rubber or digital stamp to be in with a chance of being Top Pick!

So Firsts eh! Now this one really pickled my already aging brain.  I did one card, didn't like it, stewed on it and (as I'm a bit of a control freak) did another card.  Here comes the show and tell.

Card one: very simple 'First' - baby's First birthday.

Supplies used:
Digital stamp - Image:
Pollycraft - Superstar 2
coloured with Copics
(unfortunately Pollycraft no longer exists and so I can't link to the shop)

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangles

Anything else:
Extremely old chipboard number one
Glitter Kiss glitter on the star (hard to see in the photo)
And done, but not liked.

Card number two - this is a play on the 'If at first you don't succeed.....' quote, I guess you could give it to someone who is doing an exam of some sort? Maybe 1st driving test or 1st interview?  I dunno, but loved the Mo Manning image when I saw one of my Teamies use it earlier this year and, yes you guessed it, I went and brought it (plus others - I mean, who doesn't do that). I'm a potty mouth and have quite a sharp sense of humour (a standing joke in our house is that I tell hubby I'll be a very merry widow as I'm sure I'm going to outlive a man who is 9 1/2 years older than me!) and I would have put a swear word instead of 'beggars' and hexing those 'beggars' appealed to me.  I cleaned up the naughty word and this is card two:

Also fully glittered but hard to see in the photo - so her close up:
Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
Mo's Digital Pencil - Flippin Fairy
coloured with Copics
Sentiment created in Publisher

Dies:
Pretty Pink Posh - Scallop Borders 1
Un-branded stitched rectangle set

Anything else:
Honey Bee - Hexagon layering stencil
Memento Dew Drop Ink pad
stencilling brush
linen printed card
Glitter Kiss
('cause it was left out from previous card and a girl can be glittery while not being pink!)

And done!
Tell me which one do you prefer?

Why not pop on over to the challenge blog and see what wonderful cards my Teamies have created - they are an amazing bunch of ladies and have created an amazing array of cards!

Right and I'm off, got things to do.
Will be back later to link to some challenges.
Sarah

Fan-tastic

Good morning blogland,

It's Friday, which means it's time for a new challenge over at Colour Crazy Craft Challenges.  This week the Challenge is sponsored by Angie Blom Digital Designs.  As always the theme is Anything Goes, and your entry doesn't have to be a card, but as we are primarily a colouring challenge there does have to be some hand colouring somewhere.

The Design Team were very kindly given some digi stamps to pick from, this is my card from the image I chose - Biggest Fan.  I have to admit it's not the image I would naturally go for, I am a character person at heart, but it was nice to colour something different from my usual style, however, as always, I used my Copics to colour.  I thought, though, the image suited a classic Clean and Simple style, maybe a more masculine style as well?

I used a piece of linen card for the front of the card and printed the sentiment straight onto it, as well embossing a stitched square in the centre of the white card.  I then separately printed the image onto Copic friendly paper, coloured it in and fussy cut it out, then used 3d foam squares to mount it onto the embossed square on the linen card. It looks very good in real life but unfortunately the embossing doesn't show up very well in my pictures.

A close up of the embossed square:

Supplies used:

Digital image and sentiment:
Angie Blom Digital Designs - Biggest Fan
coloured with Copics

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangle
Creative Expressions - Double Stitched squares

Why not pop over to the challenge, check put my Teamies creations, they are wonderful cards, and you could always join in yourself - you never know you could win the prize!

Signing off now,
See you soon,
Sarah

This is a scheduled post so will be back later to link up to some challenges.   I'm off to a local farm park with TTT and a couple of her friends.

Anyone for marbles?

Good morning blogland,

Here I am, this fine morning, with my Design Team inspiration post for the new challenge starting over at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge.  As always, with our Challenges, we really don't mind what you make and the theme is always Anything Goes but you do have to have some element of hand colouring on your entry.

This week we've been sponsored by Scribbles Designs, who have a really great range of quirky and fun digital images.  The DT were given a couple of images to play with and this is what I came up with from my pick.  I don't know if anyone else recognises the saying about loosing their marbles for being angry with someone, or if it's just a saying from where I live, but I saw the images and that's what sprang to mind!

So here's my fairly Clean and Simple 'I'm sorry' card, hopefully said in a fun way!

Supplies used:

Digital Image:
Scribbles Designs - Marbles Mason jar
coloured with my Copics

Sentiment created in Word

Dies:
unbranded stitched rectangle

I do hope you find time to pop over to the challenge and take a peek at the lovely cards my Teamies have made, they have, as always, outdone themselves! Then maybe join in and colour something, if that's your thing, you never know you might get me waffling on at you!

That's it for now,
Signing off and see you later,
Sarah

Tea Party anyone?

 Good morning blogland,

I'm here, but I'm also not here - this is another scheduled post to let you all know that as it's the first Saturday of the month (my goodness it's July already - this year is flying!) it's the start of a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge.

The theme this month is 'Add some ribbon', nice simple challenge there! Our Sponsors  are the lovely HettyClare Art and Crafty Ribbons.  HettyClare allowed the DT to choose an image to use on our cards, this is my make with my choice.

Supplies Used:

Digital stamp:
HettyClare Art - Tea Party Pony
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
Whimsy Stamps - Fantabulous

Die:
Stitched edge slimline die

Anything else?
a bit of ribbon from my stash

Hope you get a chance to both pop over to Crafty Calendar and take a peek at my Teamies makes for they are fabulous - as always! We'd love to see you joining in as well - as always there is a great prize on offer for this month's lucky winner!

On a personal note, reason for this post being scheduled is that TTT has joined a Community Orchestra and it's practice day today, therefore a morning trip off to wonderful Skegness is on the cards.  Was surprised when she came home from school last month and said she'd like to try the orchestra and even more surprised that she's going back again - but am more than happy to be the joint proprietor of Mum&Dad Taxis Ltd!

I'll let you all know when the public performance is!

Look out Skeg-vegas, here I am!

Sarah

And done!

It's been an odd week chez Sarah - we went to a wedding reception first weekend in March, first evening we've been out with a lot of other people in nearly two years and, yes you guessed it, TTT caught Covid!

Do not panic, friendly blogland, she's been (mostly) fine!  She went to school the week after the reception with just a little sniffle, by the end of the week she was complaining of tiredness, headache and stomach pains. To be honest, as we've managed nearly two years avoiding it, I thought she was faking it a bit (swinging the lead as my Mum used to say to me when I wanted a day off school!). So she missed one day and then went back, however I was out on the Saturday and thought best we all do a test - and she only went and tested positive. The Best Dad and I, however, did not and still haven't! We've been testing for nearly a fortnight now and she stayed positive until Sat, he and I have dodged a bullet!

All three of us have had all the jabs we are supposed to and the only difference is, as far as I can see, is that he and I didn't mingle that much at the reception, whereas she did. Oh, and we've heard from the Bride that pretty much everyone came away with an unexpected present of Covid. Hmmm, not sure how I feel about that!!

Anyways, that's my exciting news, it has thrown me out of routine again, but I'm coping better this time which I put down to keeping my morning alarm going the whole week she's been off school. No lazing around until 9am for me, lay-in until 7.30 and then on with!

And I'm off now to link up to my challenge/s.

Signing off
See you soon,
Sarah
