Sleepy friends

 Good Morning blogland,

I'm here with my DT inspiration for the new challenge starting today over at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge, as always the theme is Anything Goes but as we are a colouring challenge there does have to be some element of hand colouring on your project.

This week's sponsor is Sweet November Stamps, who very kindly allowed the Design Team to use some super cute digis. Have to say, I love Sweet November, the stamps are so versatile - they can be used stand-alone or merged to make wonderful scenes.

For this card I decided to use two elements from Tree Friend: Sycamore, the bear and the tree - I flipped and merged them in Publisher until I was happy with how they looked then coloured them and created a simple background with my Copics.

A very simple card, but so pretty - I hope you'll agree!

Supplies used:

Digital stamps:
Sweet November Stamps - Tree Friend: Sycamore
my hand drawn background
coloured with Copics

Rubber stamps:
Taylored Expressions - Simple Strips : Friendship
random hot-air balloon

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangle
Taylored Expressions - Simple Strips : Well Rounded

Copic fineliner to draw the birds

Please pop over to the challenge and see what my Teamies have made - they are fab-u-lus, as usual - and why not join in while you're there! Your make doesn't need to be a card, just colour something and you're away!

Signing off now,
see you later,
Sarah

Challenges:

Digi Choosday: Wk 19 - Anything Goes

Cardz 4 Guyz: #296 - Wildlife

little red wagon: Challenge #654 - With a little help from my Friends

A card round-up

Good evening blogland,

Back again now all the festivities are over - I truly hope all those of you who celebrate Christmas had a lovely day and those of you who don't had the best day possible and to those of you who (like me) just get through it I really do truly wish that you got over rough ground as lightly as possible.

Ours was, as always, a very quiet time - we went over friends house Christmas eve evening and then we three spent the day very quietly at home.

Some very happy gift exchanging happened and I've spent the last couple of days transferring data / files / etc from old phone and lap-top to new phone and lap-top.  I think I'm there and all gadgets appear to be working ok.  I also got a new pen case to accommodate my ever growing Copic pen collection and a very professional looking light-box so hopefully I'll no longer have to chase the light around the house when taking pictures of my cards.

Talking of cards, here are the last few that I made - wonder if you can guess which are mine and hubby's to TTT?? Oh, and the card I made for TTT's boyfriend is in the mix as well.

I won't do individual 'this is what I did' as it will make for an extremely long blog post (even longer than I've already made it!) so just listing relevant products used.

Whimsy Stamps - Penguins decorate the tree
Paper - First Edition : Artic Wonder
Various dies

Copic colouring following My Creative Scoop lessons
Random sentiment stamp

Lili of The Valley - Jasmine Christmas Presents
Sweet November Stamps - for the sentiment
Distress Inks and Mica Spray for the background

All Dressed Up - Christmas Couple
Random Christmas sentiment stamp
Snowflake punch

All Dressed Up - Christmas Baubles
Random sentiment
Glitter
Pretty Pink Posh die

I believe, apart from the odd card made with a die, that's all my Christmas cards blogged. Now I will put that behind me and move onto other occasions.

See you soon,
Signing off,
Sarah

Hmmmm

 Hello blogworld,

Well it's been a busy week, as part of TTT's birthday celebrations we had people over for dinner on her birthday itself (quiet as school night), a bowling party yesterday with her circle of friends and today went shopping in Lincoln with her best friends and a sleepover.

Wandering around the shops with three fourteen year olds, in tail end of a pandemic wearing masks, social distancing and queuing to get in shops - well all I can say is I'm a darn good parent!! I'm sure they appreciate it!! 😂😂

To reward myself for being kind, patient and understanding - I got some new gym wear and weights and then had a little wind down this evening making this card.

It started out quite a bit different, but I'm fairly pleased with the end result. As always I can see things I would do differently if I did it again. Isn't that always the way though!

So card, which I can promise you is actually straight, it's just I can't seem to take a straight picture this evening!:

I used:
Stamps:
Characters: Sweet November - Peter and April
Sentiment: Neat and Tangled - Together
Colouring: Copics

Dies:
Memory Box: Small Madison Arched Window and Picket Fence

So I'm off for a sit down and probably either a disturbed night - kids awake until early hours maybe? - or an early morning - kids getting up at a ridiculous time? - wonder which it will be!

Well, how did that happen!

Good morning blogworld

I have no idea how this happened, but it's TTT (The Troublesome Teen - also known as The Daughter Emily)'s 14th birthday today.

I'm currently surrounded by baking paraphernalia, as the first cake I made just doesn't look right, and am on second recipe, gone back to the good old chocolate sponge!

So I'm not hanging about, but I did want to share the picture of the balloons we got for her - a fantastic local company who make marvellous balloon displays - and the card I made from me for her.

I'll be sharing the card I made for her from her Dad another day. I know it's odd, but as there are only the three of us we get her a card each otherwise it's a very sad display of one card! Well until the ones from her friends start appearing - then she gets more cards than I ever have!

So balloons (with the Father's Day display snuck in too!):

And card:

I used:

Digital Stamp: Sweet November Stamps - Zodiac Girl : Cancer
Coloured with Copics
Papers: Prima - Fairy Flora
Die: MFT - Stitched Rectangle STAX
Anything else: Sentiment from Craftwork Cards and Bling from my stuff

Maybe, if she gives permission, I'll stick a picture up of her which will explain why all my girls are coloured with red hair!!

Really do need to run now, got things to be doing,
Signing off,
Sarah

Challenge/s:

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge: Week 24 - Anything Goes

Allsorts Challenge: Week 629 - Anything Goes (Option button or bows)

As Yu Like it Challenge: Favourite Tip (and use it on your entry) - Weeellll, my favourite tip is not to stress too much about things that go wrong!!  The background for this image should have been a sky - it looks like bubbles! Also I nicked the cardstock I mounted the image on, so it's a bit rough.  Finally I don't like the where the three gems landed up, personally think it'd flow more if they were off the image but they stuck really well when I put them on the image and I couldn't move them!  All that stress and my daughter really loved the card - I got a 'it's wonderful, Mummy' - she didn't see what I did wrong, she only saw a card I'd made for her!
