Tightrope walking

Hello Blogland

Me again just about squeezing in two posts in one week - something I've not done in ages! Although, to be fair, this card probably should have been posted earlier in the month as it's the All Dressed Up Facebook groups' DT inspiration for the May new release!

So either I'm really good posting on the blog twice in one week, or I'm really bad for not posting this earlier in the month.  Hmmmm, I think I'll go with getting something on the blog twice in a week - it feels better than saying 'OMG - I should've posted this nearly a month ago'! Such a merry optimist I am. ;-)

Getting on to the actual card:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
All Dressed Up - Circus Skills
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
Sentiment stamp brought from a dump bin at a Harrogate Craft fair a couple of years ago

Anything else:
Homemade stencil and Distress Inks to create a background
corner punch to create the notches
Stitched rectangular die set

Aaaand, that's about it folks!

The radiators got plumbed in, but the really fancy upright one in the dining / living room has a minor leak. Plumbers coming back again next week to do something to it to fix and then we should be up and running! We had skirting arrive earlier in the week as well, hubby's going to get the architrave today and a new larder cupboard is coming in a couple of weeks. Phew! Room is almost there!!

Hope everyone is well,
Sarah

As You Like it: Favourite Masculine or Feminine project. Ahhhh, well now - I actually like making both, but as it's a very small family I have and the offspring is of the female type who has lots of girlfriends - I mostly make cards for the girl side of the population.

Hello There

Hello blogland,

This time I'm not rushing about being late, although the challenge over at All Dressed Up Facebook group has been running since the beginning of the month - and will run to the end of the month, as it does every month!

The challenge theme for this month (May) is 'Flower Power', as always other than sticking to theme, the only condition of entry is that you have to use an All Dressed Up digital stamp. This is my make for a DT inspiration.

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
All Dressed Up - Country Girl
coloured with Copics

Rubber stamp:
Altenew - Peony Bouquet

Dies:
Creative Expressions - Noble Collection: Double Stitched die
Creative Crafts - Ultimate Ribbon Sentiments

I'm posting at an odd time as I'm hiding in my craft room while two new radiators are being fitted.  They aren't going to be connected today - just hung and fitted - so I'll no doubt be back hiding again next week when the plumbers are back to connect them.  Very posh looking radiators they are too - brushed anthracite - and I will no doubt be sharing pictures once the family room is done.

The other notable thing happening in our lives at the moment - is GCSE's.  It's end of first week and my goodness TTT has been tense and, at times, snappy. We've had to be very understanding at some points! She's got another full week, then a half-term, then another two weeks then that's it! I'll have to think of a new alibi for her when she's a young adult who has finished Secondary (or Grammar in her case) School - although she will be a Teen for another four years yet!  Of course next step is 6th Form, so we're not clear and done yet!

Right well I think I've chatted away more today than I have in months, so I'm off to do some colouring.

Hope everyone else is doing well and I am well aware that I've not commented on anyone's blogs for months, I do apologise and I'm hoping to have more time soon to get back into the swing of visiting blogs.

See you soon,
Sarah

For a change

Morning blogland

Here I am late as usual with my cards - becoming a bit of a 'thing' for me isn't it. Along with the apologies to my Teamies for posting late and the minimal chat, so as not to compound the problem!

It was the start of a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge yesterday (Sat 13th) with the theme for this fortnights challenge being 'Masculine Makes' - anything for the boys or fellas in your life. As always this is a 'for fun' challenge so there is no prize (other than the kudos of winning!) but we are a stamping challenge so something on your entry needs to have been either digitally or rubber stamped.

These are my cards -for a change, decided against colouring and just went with a super large sentiment stamp. Although if I was doing these again, especially as they are for men, I'd go with different papers as I think they are more neutral cards than masculine.

Anyways, here have a look and I'll let you make up your minds.

Card one:

Supplies used:

Stamp (rubber):
Woodware Clear Magic singles

Paper:
My Mind's Eye

Anything else:
silver card dots
paper twine

Dies;
un-branded stitched rectangle set

Card Two:

Supplies used:

Stamp (rubber):
Woodware Clear Magic singles

Paper:
BoBunny - Surprise!

Dies:
Creative Expressions - Noble Collection: Double Stitched Squares and Rectangles
Whimsy - Zig Zag Edger set

Anything else:
Black card dots

And there you have it. Hope you are all having good weekends.

Sarah

It's all oval!

 Hello blogland,

I'm going to be super quick with post - just to get it out there as it was supposed to go up yesterday but the gremlins got in and it didn't happen.  I didn't notice as we've been busy with house stuff - old tile floor in dining / living / family room came up and new one laid (it's been chaos!).

So this post is for the new challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge, the theme this month is 'Anything but square' - simples, eh! No sponsor this month either so the DT have all picked a stamp / image from their own stash but there is still a prize!

This is my card:

Supplies used:

Rubber stamp:
Stamping Bella - Oddball Cinderella
coloured with Copics
used with matching sentiment

Dies:
Creative Craft Supplies - ovals and scalloped ovals

Papers:
Craftwork Cards

Anything else:
flat back gems

Just a quick note, I had to balance the card on a roll of washi tape because it wouldn't stand up in the lightbox - but, in real-life, it stood perfectly well on my desk!

Why not pop over to the challenge and admire all the inventive cards my Teamies have made and get your entry in at the same time?

Profuse apologies as well to my Teamies for being late with this post!

See you soon,
Sarah
