Final Boo!

Afternoon blogland

Pretty sure this is going to be my final Halloween card - I now have three that I've enjoyed making but no-one to give them to! I'm wondering if some of my next cards might have the same colour combos but different themes.

So, this one was made for the All Dressed Up Facebook group monthly challenge - there is still a short while to enter a card / project. The challenge this month, yup you guessed it, Halloween / Autumn! I know I could've gone Autumn, but I'd already made one Halloween card and sort of got into the swing of it.

This time the card went a bit cute:

Supplies used

Digital stamp
All Dressed Up - Boo did I scare you
I used Copics to colour the image.

Dies:
My Favorite Things - Die-namics circle
Creative Craft Products - scalloped DL background

Anything else:
Tim Holtz - Distress Oxide inks
blending brush
fineliner to draw the cobwebs

That's it for now folks,
see you again soon,
Sarah

Boo Two!

Morning Blogland

Well, this year does seem to be completely running away with me - I've just realised that I've not posted in over a week, but it only seems like yesterday that I did. I hadn't realised how quick time is passing!

This post is for the new challenge that started today over at Sweet Stampin' with the challenge of 'Halloween / colours of Halloween' - as always please remember this is a stamping challenge so there does need to be some element of stamping in your entry, whether digital or rubber.

I'm sure I might have mentioned (along with that I don't 'do' Christmas) I don't 'do' Halloween. I mean, I understand the concept and I understand the original reason for it, but I don't 'do' this commercialised version of it.  In all honesty it really just passes me by, TTT did use to go 'trick or treating' as she was desperate to do what her friends do, but other than the occasional pumpkin we don't decorate or make a fuss.

However, having said that - I was colouring something else, had this image on the desk and, following a WhatsApp conversation with TTT who was on a school trip to Iceland at the time, this image was coloured, and this card produced. I had great fun turning the doll into a zombie!

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
Mo's Digital Pencil - Dolly
coloured with Copics

Dies:
Un-branded stitched rectangle dies
un-branded alphabet

Paper:
echo park - Chillingsworth Manor

Annnd that's about it folks,
I'll try my hardest not to leave it so long in-between posts next time,
See you all soon,
Sarah

Not a birthday?

 Good morning blogland,

It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge this fortnight I am actually meant to be joining in and the theme is 'Anything but a birthday card'. Fairly straight forward this fortnight, anything you care to make - as long as there is some stamping (rubber or digital) on it somewhere - but not a birthday card.

I'm using an image I coloured from lessons I took from Mindy at My Creative Scoop some time ago.  I loved colouring the image, but I had no idea what I use it for when I was colouring it. So, once done, I sat and stared at it for a bit and decided it would be a good anniversary card - so that's how I finished it.

Said card:

Supplies used:
Digital stamp:
As far as I know it's unique to Mindy Baxter's lessons at My Creative Scoop
coloured with my Copics

Dies:
Pretty Pink Posh - Scallop Borders
Lawn Fawn - 'Happy (heart) Day'

Anything else:
Dotty card

I do hope you find time to pop over to the challenge blog - my Teamies have made some wonderful 'not birthday' cards and it's always a fun challenge to join in with!

Fair warning, it won't be long before you see me again - but for now, cheerio!

A 'whale' of a time

 Good morning blogland

It's new challenge time over at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge, as always there are a fabulous selection of inspiration cards on show from my Teamies and a lovely prize from one of our fabulous sponsors.

This week we are sponsored by Patties Creations, who have very kindly given the Design Team some digi stamps to create with. This is the card I made with my pick of those images - the cute Wilma Whale digital stamp.

I thought the image would work well for a classic Clean and Simple card - so that's the route I took. The image (and a sentiment I created in Publisher) was printed onto Copic friendly lightweight card and then coloured in with my Copics. I then masked off a block around the image and inked with Distress Inks. I added embossing with both an embossing folder and an old-fashioned bone folder (on the image panel itself) for final touches, again the embossing is not showing very well in the picture - but I assure you it is there.

I think, with the decreasing light levels I will need to re-adjust my light box as I'm finding I'm having to play about too much editing the picture and some details are being lost.  Oh the joys of Autumn, eh!

Here is my card:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
Patties Creations - Wilma Whale
coloured with my Copics

Anything else?
un-branded stitched rectangle dies
A4 embossing folder (un-named)
Distress Inks
Publisher (for the sentiment)
self-adhesive rhinestones

And that's it folks! I do hope you find time to join us over at the challenge - if you do please remember we are a colouring challenge, so as long as you've hand coloured something, anything goes!

Bye for now and see you soon,
Sarah

Boo!

 Morning blogworld,

This post is for the new challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge, where the theme this month is 'Halloween'. We are sponsored by Oddball Art who allowed the DT their pick of an image and have supplied the Challenge with a lovely prize for this months' winner.

I believe I've said this before, but I'm not really into celebrating Halloween - it wasn't a thing when I was little.  As I've grown up to me Halloween has just been an inconvenience, mostly silly string on the letter box to be cleaned up and kids knocking over bins.  We tried when Emily was little but, nah not really our 'thing' as it were.

Colour me surprised then when, somehow, this year I've made three Halloween cards! All for Design Teams and sharing over the next couple of weeks, but (count them) three!!! And enjoyed making them too - I'm sure wonders will never cease!

Card number one follows:

 Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
OddBall Art - Glitter Bones
coloured with my Copics

Patterned Paper:
echo park - Chillingsworth Manor

Dies:
un-branded alphabet set
un-branded stitched rectangle set
Die-namics - Wavy edge

I do hope you find time to pop over to the challenge and check out my Teamies work - there are some suitably wonderful spooky makes over there!

Be back soon,
Sarah
