What's your animal?

Hello blogland,

Looks like I'm having a better run of luck with scheduled posts at the minute - so let's hope this keeps that run of luck!

It's Saturday, and time for another challenge over at Sweet Stampin' and this fortnight the challenge theme is 'Animals' - so something stamped and animals in your project somewhere.

This is my card:

Supplies Used:

Stamps:
Time for Tea - Sundae Sweeties
coloured with my Copics

taylored expressions - simple strips: Background

Dies:
taylored expressions - simple strips: well rounded

Stencil:
Honey Doo Craft

Anything else:
Distress Ink
flat backed gems

Not the best picture ever - I really struggled to get the stencilled background to show in the photo.  The stencilling is quite soft and it did not want to show up in the pictures!

Anyways pop over to the challenge, my Teamies have made some wonderful cards!

Am off for a bit of retail therapy this weekend - it's a Craftarama at Lincoln Showground, so guess where I'll be on Sunday!

See you soon,
Sarah

Magical Day

Good evening blogland,

This post is for the New Release over at All Dressed Up, normally you'd be seeing this post earlier in the month as I'm with the first half of the month team.  This time I was, very kindly, allowed to gate-crash the second half of the month team as I was well behind with my crafting.

So I won't waffle on, just say hope that everyone is well and here have a gander at me card!

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
All Dressed Up - Pony Trek
coloured with my Copics

Dies:
Creative Expressions - Noble Collection: Double Stitched Squares
Creative Expressions - mini expressions

Anything else:
striped green card
Distress Ink and a cloud die for the background

So that's it folks, I'm still working away and being busy outside of crafting - looking forward to going to the craft fair at Lincoln at the weekend though.  Just because I don't craft that much, doesn't mean to say I can't keep buying crafting stuff, eh!!

See you soon,
Sarah

Check it out!

Good morning blogland

I do hope this post works for once, I'm going to have to come back later and check that it actually posts.

So, fingers crossed, this is a post for the new challenge at Passion for Markers and this week the challenge is 'Check it out' which basically means use some check or plaid or gingham.  Our lovely sponsor is Lili of the Valley and we have a fabulous prize on offer to one lucky winner.

As always, and the clue's in the name of the challenge, you do need to use makers somewhere on your project and follow the theme - but other than that go for it and have fun!

This is my make:

Supplies used:

Rubber stamps:
Lili of the Valley - So Mice (A5 set)
coloured with my Copics

Neat and Tangled - Hello there
The word 'there' from this set

Dies:
Creative Craft Products - A2 essentials landscape card die set
Time for Tea - Hey Hello Hi sentiment die set
My Favorite Things - Inside and Out stitched circles

Anything else:
check paper (of course!)

And that's it folks.

I'm still working hard and so, unfortunately, neglecting the blog.  If I'm to stick at this work malarky for longer than someone's maternity leave cover, I'm going to have to give some serious thought to managing my life!

Hope to see you again soon,
Sarah

Birthday Girls - terribly belated!

OK - so, once again a post has not published when I wanted it to.  So apologies to all my Teamies at Sweet Stampin for this post being a week late.

Morning Blogland,

It's Saturday and time for a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' this fortnight we'd like to see all those cards for the 'Birthday Girls' in your lives.  As always, this is a 'just for fun' challenge so there are no sponsors but there a couple of rules.  First rule being follow the theme and second there must be some stamping (digital or rubber) on your project somewhere.

Here's my card:

Supplies Used:

Rubber stamp:
My Favorite Things - ALM - Big Birthday Wishes
coloured with my Copics

Dies:
Creative Craft Products - A2 Landscape Card Die Set
MFT - A2 Stitch Rectangle STAX set

Paper:
First Edition - New Bloom

Anything else:
Distress Inks
Gel pens

I don't think there's anything on this card (other than the die used to make the card base) that's under 15 years old!  I'm still trying to use old stamps - which in this case had never been inked - and they really do feel like they sit on the smaller sized card bases.

So that's it folks, hope you get a chance to pop over to the blog to see my Teamies wonderful creations and to enter yourself.

See you soon,
Sarah

Today's your day

 Good morning blogland,

It's a new month so it's also time for a new post and a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge, this month we'd like to see your creations with the theme of  'Dry/Wet Embossed' and our lovely sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up Stamps.

I ended up going with the dry embossing side of the challenge, can't honestly remember the last time I got either my heat gun or embossing powders out, but it still caused me no end of problems.  Got there eventually and this is my card:

Supplies used:

Digital Stamp:
All Dressed Up - Wellie Boots
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
taylored expressions - 'It's Your Day'

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangles
Pretty Pink Posh - Eyelet Borders

Embossing folder:
taylored expressions - Graphic Impressions: Birthday

And that's it folks - hope everyone is well, and please go join in with the challenge, it'll be fun!

See you soon,
Sarah

It's all grey here

 Good morning blogland

I'm here today with the new challenge over at Passion for Markers and we are sponsored by Dies to Die For with a fabulous prize for one lucky winner.

It was my turn to pick the challenge theme this week and I've gone for 'Monochromatic' - which means an image, object or palette composed of one colour.  It doesn't mean only using black and white - although you can - it's making sure that you pick one colour and then use shades / hues of the colour.

I did debate which colour to go with but, looking at the image I'd picked, decided in the end to go with the classic black and white scheme.  I would normally have still done a skin tone for the skin on this image, but I decided to push myself a little and try to go totally black & white.  You'll have to tell me if it worked!

This is my card:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
Mo's Digital Pencil - Tori
coloured with my Copics

Rubber Stamp:
taylored expressions - It's your day

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangles
I'm not sure of the tab - it's an old one and I can't remember where I got it

Anything else:
Craftwork Cards - Allsorts paper pack
crystals under the sentiment

And that's it folks - not sure how my first challenge pick is going to go over at PfM, hoping I get a good few entries, but who knows!

See you soon,
Sarah
