Animal magic

Good morning all,

Just a quick flyer as I'm actually typing this rather late (for me anyways) on Monday evening because I'm at work on Tuesday and I don't have time to type in the morning and I've been to the cinema to see Deadpool and Wolverine.

Seeing as how this is posting on Tuesday, I'll say good morning! and welcome to my post for a new challenge over at Passion for Markers.  This week's theme has been picked by our lovely Teamie Lorriane, the theme she picked is 'Animal Magic' and our sponsor is Hetty Clare.

coloured with my Copics

Rubber Stamp:

Here comes the Sunshine

Finally!

Good evening blogland, just a quick flyer to share my All Dressed Up Facebook Group DT inspiration card for July's challenge over in the Facebook Group.

So this is quite a late post for the challenge  - like I said this is a July challenge - but better late then never, I suppose!  You have until the end of this month to join in, the only rules are use an All Dressed Up digi and follow the theme, which this month is 'Seasons'.

I think I must have finally got something right - when I created this Summer card when it was still cold and wet right now Summer has finally arrived!  It's lovely, sunny and warm here in chilly Lincolnshire and I'm loving it!

Here's the card:

Supplies used:

Digital Stamp:
All Dressed Up - Summer Fairy
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamps:
taylored expressions: Sending Sunshine
taylored expressions: Simple Strips: Friendship

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangles
taylored expressions: Asymetrical

Anything else:
linen style card

Small update from me - TTT is off on school hols now and on Sunday we take her to London, she's staying there in UCL University Halls whilst doing a two week Psychology Summer School!  She's half way through her 'A' Levels now and it's looking like Psychology is her chosen career.  This two weeks is supposed to show her all the different types of Psychology careers and options and help her decide what aspect of it she wants to go into.  Two weeks without her, not sure if I'm happy or sad - we will find out in due course!

See you later,
Sarah

Tag, you're it!

Good morning blogland,

It's a lovely Saturday morning here in (for once) sunny Lincolnshire, the first day of the summer school holidays, and a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' .  For the challenge this fortnight we'd like to see your stamping with a theme of 'Tags'.

Now, normally, I would have just added a tag to a card but, in the spirit of trying to stamp un-inked stamps and use smaller stamps, I went for a real, able to use, gift tag! It's ended up, with me doing that, that you've got two for the price of one!

The logic I was using - if you're going to make a useable tag, then do something a bit more challenging than: stamp, colour, add to card.  So I decided to go with shaker tags and make my own background for the back panel of the shaker 'bit' and I was trying to mist a background over a stencil.  Four attempts later, I had two useable pieces of card. These are how they turned out:

Supplies used:

Stamps:
Time for Tea Designs: Let's Party
coloured with my Copics
Woodware: sentiments (I can't find anything on the packaging other than 'clear stamp set designed by
 Jane Gill')

Dies:
un-branded tag set
Impression Obsessions: Everyday Top Edgers

Stencil:
My Favorite Things: Sunrise Radiating Rays

Anything Else:
Cosmic Shimmer mister
sparkly stuff for the shaker
bit of twine for the tags

And that's it folks - I'm currently suffering with quite a bad head cold and am off to feel sorry for myself.

See you soon,
Sarah

Seashells on the seashore

Good evening blogland,

Yes I'm here and it's evening - honestly it's about the only time I get at the moment to have a sit and wonder around the web.  Life is continuing to be hectic but I'm always hopeful that it will calm eventually.

The reason for this late evening post is that I'm sharing my All Dressed Up Stamps New Release inspiration card.  These images are always super cute and the ones for July are no exception.  You can see what wonderful cards my Teamies made by either popping over to the Facebook Group or taking a look-see at the blog.

This, however, is my card:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
All Dressed Up - Seashells
I both created a scene and coloured the digi in with my Copics

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangle die set
Creative Expressions - mini expressions duo: Friends are like seashells

Anything else:
striped card

And that's about it folks, I'm off for a nice quiet sit down before bed-time!

See you soon,
Sarah

This month our lovely sponsor is SheepSki Designs, with a great prize for the lucky winner.  As always our Challenge blog accepts all sorts of crafts - you just have to follow the theme!

I was kindly allowed to choose a digital stamp and this is the card I made with that digi:

Concord & 9th - Fashion Shoppe Stamp Set
Catherine Pooler - Just Plain Fabulous Sentiments Stamp Set

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangle dies set

It's a dies sort of day

Good morning bloggers,

It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Markers and it's my turn to pick the challenge! Eeek!

So for this week we are all to 'Use a die'.  I thought it was appropriate choice as it's Dies to Die For who are our sponsors this time round, with a great prize on offer for one lucky winner.  As always we would like you to follow the theme and use your markers!

This is my make for this week:

Supplies Used:

Digital Stamp:
Polkadoodles - Milkshake Drink Rebel
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
Woodware Craft Collection - Word Fragments 2

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangles set
Whimsy Stamps Die Collection - OMG! Word Die Set

Anything else:
Copic Fine Liner
white gel pen
gold Sakura pen
flat back gems

I also thought it was a good idea, as the theme I picked with 'use dies' to try and use a die in a different way.  So the hand-drawn frame you can see is made by placing a stitched rectangle die on the Copic friendly card, that I use to colour on, and drawing around the inside.  I know it's not an original idea, but something I've not done in awhile.

Please, if you get a chance, head over to the challenge - my Teamies have done good with my theme! :-)

See you later,
Sarah
