It's Easter chicks

Good morning blogland,

So here I am again and this time with a new challenge from Passion for Markers, this week the theme is 'Easter' the challenge lasts a week, you have to follow the theme and use your markers but then you're set to be in with a chance to win two digis from our wonderful sponsor All Dressed Up.

This my card made with one of the super cute digis the DT were given to play with:

Supplies used:

Digital stamp:
All Dressed Up - Easter Chicks
coloured with my Copics
(I also created the word 'Easter' in Publisher when I printed the digi)

Dies:
Creative Expressions - Noble Collection: Double Stitched Squares
Creative Craft Products - Nestables: circles and stitched circles
Anna Marie Designs - Evergreen Wreath
Catherine Pooler - 'Wishes' word die

Anything else:
yellow spotty paper

That was a bit of a die fest wasn't it! I think I just pulled loads of 'em out of the cupboard and then kept using them until something worked!

And that's about it folks - it's still full on work here, so this is short and sweet and then I'm off to work!

See you all soon,
Sarah

It's a swinging time

Good evening blogland

It's time for March's new release for All Dressed Up - another dose of super cute digis! I was given Daisy to colour up and this is the card I made with the digi.  If you want to see the rest of the release you can pop over to the Facebook Group and if you don't Facebook there's also the blog.

Supplies used:

Digi stamp:
All Dressed Up - Daisy
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
Whimsy Stamps - Fantabulous

Dies:
un-branded stitched rectangles
Sunny Studio - Happy word die

And that's about it really - I just flipped the image, gave her freckles and coloured in a very simple background.  Voila - job done!

That's it from me for a few days again,
Hope everyone is well and happily crafting,
See you soon,
Sarah

Spring is (trying to) sprung!

Good morning blogland,

It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Markers, and our challenge for those markers of yours this week is to create something with the 'Colours of Spring'.  Our sponsor is the always fabulous Polkadoodles with a randomly picked prize of 3 digi images for one lucky person.

Polkadoodles allowed the DT to pick an image, or two, and this is my make with that image.  Now before you go any further I have to say I'm not 100% sure that the colours I've used make me think of Spring, but I did Google 'spring colours' and 'spring colours palette' and all these colours were in the pictures I found.

Here, have a look and see what you think!

Digital stamp:
Polkadoodles - Winnie Daisy Dance
coloured with my Copics

Rubber stamp:
taylored expressions - Think Happy Thoughts
(I inked up and stamped part of one of the sentiments for the 'you')

Dies:
Un-branded stitched rectangle
Picket Fence - Another Hello There Word Die Set

Anything else:
striped card

Hmmm, maybe I should have gone more 'pastely'? Anyways, please pop on over to the blog - my Teamies have done themselves proud and there's a fab prize on offer if you pop in an entry.

Right, I think that's it from me for a couple of days.
See you later,
Sarah

Challenge/s:

Krafty Chicks Challenge: #705 - Anything Goes

As You Like It Challenge: Favourite Feminine or Masculine.  While I'm happy to colour any image, any style, any gender - I do find myself tending towards the feminine images - maybe because I have a daughter and need more girls cards than boys?!

A little late and very green!

Good morning blogland

I'm running even later with this post than I was with yesterday's, this was supposed to be posted yesterday, so I'll just gloss over how late I am and get on with it!

It's time for a new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge and this fortnight the theme is 'A Little Bit Irish' - now that can be interpreted as either 'make something for St. Patrick's Day' or 'use green on your project'.  As always there are no sponsors so this is a 'for fun' challenge and the only rule is that you do need to have stamping (digi or rubber) on your project somewhere.

As I don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day (anymore than I celebrate any of our other Saints days) and I don't class myself as Irish - the only reason I could even be vaguely said to be Irish is that a great (-great?)-grandfather came over to England from Ireland, I went with a green as I could get!

This, then, is my green as green can be card:

Supplies used:

Rubber stamps:
Stamping Bella - Imeldabella
coloured with my Copics
taylored expressions - simple strips: birthday

Dies:
Creative Expressions - A2 Essentials: Portrait card die set
taylored expressions - simple strips: well rounded

Stencil:
Honey Bee Stamps - Hexagon Layering

Anything else:
Distress Inks
blending brush

As you can see I'm still on a mission to use my older, smaller, rubber stamps on American A2 sized cards.  This stamp is really from Stamping Bella, but the packaging is totally different to the newer stamps and I think could be 10 / 15 years old! Shows how long I've been stamping and colouring for.  If I had the time I'd see if I could dig out a card I've used it on before (that's assuming I have used it - oh, the shame!) and find out just how old it is, but I don't have the time at the minute, so that will remain a mystery.

Aaand, that's it folks - see you soon,  Oh, other than to say - go over to the challenge blog, my Teamies have created the most wonderful cards, way better than this.

It's all about the folding

 Good morning blogland,

Again I'm running super behind with my DT posts - life just keeps getting in the way (and sometimes in the way in very unexpected ways) - and so I won't waffle I'll just crack on with the bones of the post.

It's the first Saturday of the month - already this year feels like it's zooming past - and so we're up with a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar Challenge.  This month's theme is 'More than one fold' and we are sponsored by the wonderful Lawn Fawn with a prize of a gift certificate to spend in their store.

More than one fold, eh! Not something I do very often, and my Teamies are much, much better at it than I am, so here's my attempt.  I'll explain afterwards why I felt like I was cheating.

Supplies used:

Rubber stamps:
C.C. Designs - Pixi Lucy and Woodland Daisy
coloured with my Copics

Dies:
Lawn Fawn - You're Sweet Line Border
Creative Craft Products - Supersize Step On Up card creator
I can't remember who the Picket Fence is by (will check)

Paper:
Basic Grey - Hello Luscious

Anything else:
Gem shapes from my stuff

The reason I feel like I cheated is the step card creator die - all I did was use it to create a card blank and then decorate that blank! I still feel there's something missing but, as I don't make shaped cards very often, I wasn't sure what else to add to the design to make it work.  So I stopped where I was!

I would suggest you go pop over to the challenge and follow the links to my Teamies cards - they are all fabulous and heaps better than mine!

That, I think, is all folks for now, but I will be back!

Sarah
